The team

Johnston North is headed up by Stuart Johnston, supported by a virtual team of freelancers brought in to work on projects as and when needed.

When you contact us, you’ll probably be talking to Stuart Johnston. He’s the one who hand-codes enterprise-level Ruby on Rails applications, consults for major organisations, manages multi-national web development projects, makes the tea and answers the phone.

Stuart Johnston

For the last ten years I have been involved in architecting internet-based solutions for a range of companies and organisations. In that time, Macromedia (now Adobe) have certified me as an Advanced ColdFusion MX Developer and the University of Warwick have awarded me a Masters (with Distinction) in e-Business Management and a BSc (Hons.) in Computer Science. Recently Google added to the pile by certifying me a Google Advertising Professional. I’m also a member of the British Computer Society.

Although techie at heart, I’m just as at ease talking strategy or discussing new business ideas. Johnston North was started to help others get real value out of the internet.

Previously I worked as a development team leader for a new media agency in Coventry. Before that, I spent six months working for PricewaterhouseCoopers as an Associate in their Risk Assurance Services practice.
