Des Rowan is one of Northern Ireland’s most sought after wedding photographers and has been a long standing client of Johnston North.

The challenge

Des was one of the first in his profession to launch a website and for a long time he was one of very few with an online presence. However, as the popularity of the internet has grown, more and more of his competition have appeared online.

The challenge presented to Johnston North was to redesign Des’ website to once again place him at the forefront of his profession.

The solution

Our solution was the rebuild Des’ website from the ground up with a strong focus on usability. We paid great care and attention to every process on the website to ensure it was clear and easy for all visitors to use.

Booking management

We also added new features to Des’ website to help his clients do business with him. We built a full booking management system allowing visitors to check availability, make booking requests and pay their deposits.

Online albums

We also created online albums for clients to view their wedding photos. Couples can select photos for their final album and let guests order extra prints of the big day. We also included a feature to allow couples and guests to upload their own photos from the wedding day.

Cutting the burden of administration

Behind the scenes the website is powered by a custom built management system that gives Des full control over his website. From within this tool he can manage all his bookings, albums and photographs. Like the front-end the management system has been built with ease of use in mind to help cut Des’ workload and administration burden.
