Joe Echo is the new alias of former Leya frontman Ciaran Gribbin.

The challenge

Johnston North were contacted in April 2007 and asked to create a fully featured website to support the launch of Joe Echo. The challenge was to have it up and running in record time.

The solution

With a tight deadline we initially looked to see if there were any existing off-the-shelf packages that we could take and customise for Joe Echo. Unfortunately none of them satisfactorily matched the blend of requirements we had for the website.

Instead we built the website ourselves and without compromising on quality produced a fully functional website 3 days before the deadline.

The website includes a blog, tour calendar and multimedia area supporting videos, photos and music.

The website is managed by a bespoke web-based administration tool which gives Ciaran access to tweak and manipulate almost every area of the website.

The administration tool has a number of advanced features including giving Ciaran the ability to schedule when content appears and expires on the website. The website also has built in protection to cope with the ever increasing problem of comment spam on blogs.
