ReportBox, our own startup, is an online report writer for primary schools and teachers.

The challenge

Traditional report writing for teachers involves juggling dozens of Word documents, endless copying and pasting and a lot of hard work. It’s time-consuming, painful and error-prone.

Our challenge was to sensitively and sensibly apply cutting edge web technology to remove the problems and bottlenecks in the process.

The solution

Throughout the process we worked closely with local teachers to fully understand the workflow and the issues with it. We also talked to parents about what they wanted from their child’s report.

We then worked through each of the problem areas to create a sophisticated and intuitive tool full of clever little nuances to make report writing quick and easy. Some of the key features include built in spell-checking, PDF generation and the ability to import student data from existing management systems.
